A memorial to the great sacrifice for our freedom.

Dedicated on Memorial Day weekend 2004, the Heritage Veterans Memorial Plaza honors the veterans and active duty members of Orange County. Inscribed are the names of scores of defenders of America's freedom who served their nation in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines at home and abroad. The plaza is home to a life-size bronze sculpture, "Tears from a Grateful Heart" by Colorado artist Scott Stearman depicting a soldier kneeling before the grave of a fallen comrade. The plaza is the site of an annual tribute to Orange County veterans held on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The plaza is open to the public at all times. The Heritage Veterans Memorial Plaza was recently voted the number one attraction for 2005 by the readers of the Orange Leader.

Orders for bricks and/or granite plaque inscriptions can be placed by calling
Ron Emmert at (409) 735-4556 or the church office at (409) 883-4674
